Our Deacons carry the practical service of the assembly, so that the ministry of the Word and prayer continues without distraction (Acts 6:1-7).
The Deaconate looks after the practical and material needs of the assembly – welfare and benevolence for brethren in need, assisting at Holy Communion and baptisms, and caring for the vulnerable among us.
Deacons are appointed from among brethren of good report, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, who serve faithfully and quietly wherever help is needed.
We are a Fivefold assembly where Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers work together.
